"The cherryes festival"

Monday,4 June 2007

Hi all,
I haven't written since 29 May.I've had a very busy weekend.
In my city there was The Cherryes festival on 1st,2nd and 3rd June and the all city was full of tourists, also English people!!
I spent my weekend outdoors, with family and friends.

The agricultural economics of Conversano is based essentially by: olives and cherryes,
so every year we have a big festival in Conversano where we let know our products to other people and there is this big festival to know our cherryes!! very nice and delicious cherryes!!

Yesterday evening, in Conversano, there was another important event: the inauguration of eight new bells of our Seminar. The Seminar had just a clock at the top of the building before, while now it has got eight new bells on the sides of the clock, four on the left and four on the right and each bell has got a proper song: do,re,mi,fa,sol,la,si,do.Like that, they produce a real concert every time they song!!
Yesterday evening was a very touching moment because there was the Parish Priest speech and the Bishop speech about the bells and about our city!!
After the inauguration there was the fireworks and it went on for about ten minutes,it was another fantastic moment!!

As you can see,I spent a very nice evening and a very lively weekend.

It has been a pleasure speak with you,

Anna Lisa.

Hi Anna Lisa,
This is another very good diary entry. You've described your weekend very well. It sounds like lots of fun!
Here are a few little alterations:

CHERRIES
and ALL THE city was full of tourists

The agricultural economics of Conversano is based essentially ON:

where we MAKE KNOWN our products to other people and there is this big festival to MAKE KNOWN our CHERRIES

each bell MAKES a proper song:

a real concert every time they RING

A SPEECH GIVEN BY THE Parish Priest and ONE BY THE Bishop

fireworks THAT went on for about

It has been a pleasure SPEAKING with you (or, it has been a pleasure to speak to you)
