My shedule of future events

Wednesday,18 April 2007
Hi,today the weather has been like yesterday, little cold, but the sun shined all day!

I've just fished eating a tomato toast with Tash on the sofa, because we hadn't normal supper this evening,in fact Simon has gone out and maybe will come back home later,Beti has gone to bed for an hours,so Tash and I were on the sofa eating and watching TV.

I booked the coach ticket two hours ago, with Tash.
I will need this ticket on 29th April, the day I leave,to go from Heathrow airport to Stansted airport.
The same day new "au pair" is coming from Heathrow at 7am,so Tash have to pick her up,but at the same time have to drop me in the same airport..au pair swap! :-)

I'm traveling four hours before I arrive to London Stansted,so I get up very early, maybe at 5:30am and I arrive at my home at 10pm..it will be a very tired day!!

Anyway I'm a strong and brave girl,I did worse exertions in the past!! I will come off well,I'm sure :-)!!

The time is really flying and I can't believe it..
I'm just remembering the day when I arrived, are already passed nearly two months??

My family life will be very busy when I go back, because my brother has to do the confirmation,in that he is getting married after three months,Maurizio and I have to go to two weddings in May and June and after all the family have to go to my brother's wedding in August, but the top of all is that I have to prepare four exams in three months and I have neither followed the lessons of three exams because I had already been in England since a week, when all university lessons started,so it will be a very mentally hard work for me!!

This summer will be magic and eventful like every summer I have spent with my family and Maurizio.

I'm thinking about the good smell and the taste of my loved Italy, about my sea,the night I spent on the beach with fire, music, friends dancing and drinks and foods..wow!!

However,my mum every say: man proposes,God disposes!!

Have a good night,
see you tomorrow,
Love,

Anna Lisa.

Hi Anna Lisa,

This is another very good diary entry! You are able to explain lots of things very well. Well done!

Here are some comments which I hope will be helpful:

The past tense of ‘shine’ is ‘shone’ (pronounced ‘shon’)
Because we didn’t have a normal supper (not ‘hadn’t’)
Beti went to bed an hour ago
Tash will have to pick her up
I’ll be (not ‘I’m’) travelling for four hours before I arrive at (not ‘to’) London Stanstead, so I will get up (not ‘I get up’)
It will be a very tiring (not ‘tired’) day. (‘tired’ is past tense)
I have done (not ‘did’) worse exertions. (‘Did’ is past tense. ‘Have done’ is past participle. It is very difficult to explain the difference between past tense and past participle. Lots of English people get them mixed up, so don’t worry too much about this. I’ll e-mail an exercise sheet to you.)
Have nearly two months passed already? (not ‘are already passed nearly two months?)
But on top of all that (not ‘but the top of all is that’)
I have not (not ‘neither’) followed the lessons for (not ‘of’)
In England for (not ‘since’) a week

I hope these comments help with any little mistakes you've made. You are doing very well!
Best wishes,
Terri
